Recycling & Trash

Please keep Monaca clean! 

Reminder all trash must be placed in the new WM Carts to prevent trash from blowing litter into the neighborhoods and from attracting critters. Let's do our part and take pride in our community.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Recycling is an important way for individuals and businesses to reduce the waste they generate and reduce the negative impact of that waste. Because recycling is big business in Pennsylvania, every time you recycle, it also supports the many companies and employees doing this important work.

Recycling conserves our natural resources, saves landfill space, conserves energy, and reduces water pollution, air pollution and the green house gas emissions that cause global warming.

Together, Reducing, Reusing, Recycling and buying Recycled products make up a comprehensive waste and resource reduction strategy that benefits our natural world and our economy.

Recycling also saves the residents because of the cost savings of trash cost to a landfill.

Quite simply, recycling is better for the environment.

BI-WEEKLY RECYCLING REMINDER
Recycling collection is made on a bi-weekly basis.  Recycling containers should be placed out with your regular trash on the day of your regular trash pick up.  Please do not line your cans with plastic garbage bags.  All items may be co-mingled (mixed).
*Glass will not be recycled and is to be placed inside your regular trash.
