Lead & Copper Rule Revision (LCRR)

Attention Monaca Borough Residents:
Monaca Borough Water Department will be knocking on doors in the heights starting Wed. May 15th 2024 for approximately 2-3 weeks. They will be in Monaca Borough marked vehicles and wearing name tags to identify themselves. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
The United States EPA published the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) in January 2021, which requires all community water systems to submit a water service line inventory to Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection by October 16, 2024. The Borough of Monaca Water Department is currently developing this inventory of all customer water service lines and may visit your home or business to see your service line. The inventory includes information about the materials comprising the water service line and is part of an overall effort to eliminate lead service lines from our distribution system.
*We need to get 100% participation so that the Borough complies with the law.
