ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Borough of Monaca, Beaver County, Pennsylvania shall accept sealed bids at the Office of the Borough Manager, 928 Pennsylvania Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 20, 2021 for the Pennsylvania Avenue

Waterline Rehabilitation Project Phase I. Bids will be opened publicly by the Borough Manager on the date and hour set above for the bid closing.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for
Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 2 P.M. Meeting will be held at 928 Pennsylvania Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061. All potential bidders must attend the meeting to submit a bid.
The project involves the replacement of all water service connections along Pennsylvania Avenue from 9°1 Street to 15°1 Street.  The invitation, preparation and submittal of bidding requirements, all materials furnished and all work shall conform to all applicable parts of the contract documents.
 
Bidding documents, technical specifications and contract drawings are available only via download from the Widmer Engineering Inc. website at: www.widmerengineering.com under "Bids".

 

Each proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Check, Money Order, or Bidder Surety Bond equaling ten (I 0) percent of the bid amount as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract shall be entered into and its' performance properly secured. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) Days after the time set for the bid opening.

Bids, whether mailed or delivered in person, shall be sealed and marked "Pennsylvania Avenue Waterline Rehabilitation Project - Phase 1".

Upon successful award of the contract, a 100% Performance, 100% Payment and 100% Maintenance Bond shall be required.

The minimum wage rates for each craft or classification of all workmen needed to perform each contract during the anticipated tern hereof shall be governed by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rate Determination attached to the bidding documents.

The Borough of Monaca reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids and to award the contract in the best interest of the Borough.
