CCBC Tour

Monaca Facility Tour…February 16, 2017

Faculty and the students enrolled at CCBC’s Biology/Ecology class 205 recently toured the Monaca wastewater treatment facility. While in the classroom, the students were instructed on topics directly relating to the general understanding of the physical make-up of a municipal wastewater facility as well as the biology and chemistry utilized to treat municipal wastes. This exposure to the complex and inner workings of a municipal treatment facility will benefit these optimistic students well into their bright futures.
