Senator Bob Casey, Jr- Visit to the Borough

After a walk around town, he came to Washington Plaza for a press conference with Borough Manager David Kramer, Beaver County Commissioner Tony Amadio; and PennDOT District Executive for Engineering District 11, Cheryl Moon-Sirianni.

The press conference was in celebration of the $750,000 in Monaca Streetscape funding that Senator Casey supported in the Senate Appropriations Bill.

In attendance were Borough of Monaca staff, Rep. Rob Matzie representative Kevin Bowser, former Monaca Borough Manager and current Ambridge Borough Manager Mario Leone, Monaca Council President John Booher, Monaca Councilwoman Patricia Majors, Monaca Councilman Derek Wilson, Monaca Councilman John Yothers, and Monaca Community Development Corporation President Kelly Burgos Harper.

> Quick update on the long-awaited Monaca Streetscape project: Currently the Borough is awaiting permit approvals from PennDOT. Once those approvals are in, the project goes out to bid. The bidding process is expected to take place in the spring 2023.
